You may remember a reference in the blog post on January 6, 2021 called MOTHER FED HOBOS AND TRAMPS about people in the Battleford area taking their grain to the mill to be ground into flour. It seems that while going through a box of old, and I mean OLD, papers from the Brada house that Dad had stored for years, Dad and Richard came across the one page flyer shown below. It doesn’t give the year it was published but starts out ” On July 13th, 1917, or Twenty-One years ago,” so we can assume it was 1938. If you believe what is written it was state of the art at the time, was “kept spotlessly clean” and “Every sack of Sunrise flour is fully guaranteed and if your are not satisfied with it we will pay all expenses for returning it to the Mill”. I’m convinced!
